Crab Island Captained Tours was created to help visitors experience Crab Island the right way — with the right captain, the right boat, and the right company for their specific trip.

Brittainy’s journey with Crab Island began in 2019 when she started working at a Watersports company. In 2020 she started her own business selling ice cream at Crab Island. Spending her days on the water gave her a firsthand understanding of how Crab Island works, what makes a great trip, and which operators truly deliver a safe and memorable experience. What started as a small venture quickly grew into a successful charter business, giving her deep, real-world experience in both operations and customer service on the water.

With a U.S. Coast Guard background and a Captain’s License, Brittainy built her reputation in a male-dominated industry and became one of the few female captains and business owners in the area. Through years of hands-on work, she developed strong relationships with local captains, charter companies, and marine businesses throughout Destin and Fort Walton Beach.

After selling her original vending/charter operation, she launched Crab Island Captained Tours as an independent booking and referral service. Today, the business focuses on matching guests with trusted, vetted local companies — saving customers time, reducing guesswork, and increasing the chances of a smooth, high-quality experience.

Because of her on-the-water background and close ties with local operators, Brittainy understands the differences between boats, captains, trip styles, and pricing — and helps guests choose what truly fits their group, not just what’s available.

When you book through Crab Island Captained Tours, you’re not just picking a random listing — you’re getting guidance from someone who knows Crab Island, knows the companies, and knows what makes a trip successful.
